Lemon Bars

Are you tired of the chocolate desserts that are always served for Christmas parties? I know I am, so this year I decided to experiment with some lemon bars. To me lemon bars are great for mixing the flavors at the dessert table because they have a fresh taste.

Here is where I got the recipe: http://m.allrecipes.com/recipe/10294/the-best-lemon-bars/
Tip #1: Always make sure you have all the necessary tools and ingredients. Also make sure to read all the directions before being, so that you are familiar with the next steps.
Tip #2: When mixing the ingredients for the crust layer, just blend until mixed, otherwise the crust will be too fluffy like mine turned out. Also make sure to cook the crust until it is firm because the lemon layer will get absorbed if it is too soft.
Tip #3: The recipe says to cut the lemon bars into 2 inch by 2 inch squares, but since the lemon bars are extremely rich I would advise making the squares smaller.
I found this recipe to be easy to follow and did not have any unusual ingredients. The lemon bars taste fabulous. These lemon bars are a perfect holiday treat because the powder sugar gives the lemon bars a snowy effect. Lemon bars are great for any occasion, whether it is a Christmas party or just for dessert!
