I chose to try out this recipe because I love oatmeal and the picture of the oatmeal cups with fruit on top looked delicious. I loved that the types toppings to these oatmeal cups are endless.
Also, these oatmeal cups are extremely convient for breakfast because you can grab one out of the fridge as you go out the door. If you are anything like me, eating a good breakfast in the rush of getting ready is almost impossible. But these are a yummy on the go breakfast.
Here are some pictures of my experience:
For the toppings, I chose chocolate chips for my little brother, raspberries for my mom, strawberries for me, and blueberries for my sister. Some other toppings that it suggested were walnuts or pomegranate seeds.
This is the mixture of all the liquid ingredients. In the recipe, it does not mention adding the milk but it was in the ingredient list, so I added it into this step.
This is all the ingredients mix together with the exception of the toppings. This mixture was more liquidy than I thought it would be, but once I cooked it, the texture was fine.
These take 30 minutes to cook, but are completely worth the wait! After about 15 minutes, the aroma that comes from these is mouth watering.
These looked and smelled so good that I had to guard the kitchen from my siblings to keep them from gobbling them down right away. My personal favorites were the blueberry and raspberry ones.
These oatmeal cups would be great to serve during the morning, like for a kid's sleepover or an early party.
